Russia's Putin inks program to adopt new technical regulations
MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME-TASS) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed a program to adopt new technical regulations in the country, the government's press service said Thursday.
Of these, 11 regulations were drafted by the Russian government, while one regulation is Belarusian and 10 regulations were borrowed from the E.U., the government said.
The government said it expected the domestic regulations to be adopted sometime before July.
To adopt the foreign regulations, the Russian government expects to sign 48 international agreements by the start of 2012.
The new regulations will be in force both in Russia and its customs union partners Belarus and Kazakhstan.
